For many people, to visit Egypt is a life dream. Come on an amazing adventure to the land of the Pharaohs with Learning Brave and dive into the local culture, the declicious food and the ancient past.

This tour is FULL BOARD!! You don't need to worry about anything, just come along for the experience of a lifetime and have everything provided by us!

9 days tour, 8 nights accommodation.
This tour will be for youth 14 years +, young adults and also for parents. Young adults wanting to join this tour will need to apply first via email before registering. This is because the tour is focused for teens, however, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.

The tour mentors for this trip will be Ross and Skyler Gilbert, both have extensive experience working with youth.

Ross Gilbert is the Headmaster and also a Leadership Mentor for Williamsburg Academy. He was awarded numerous mentoring awards through Williamsburg Learning 2019 - 2024. He has never regretted leaving corporate life 8 years ago to fulfill his dream of living intentionally and working in a meaningful capacity with youth. ​

Skyler Gilbert is the founder of Learning Brave LLC, the mother of 5 children, a writer, artist, and adventure planner. Skyler has a bachelor's degree in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies.

Both Ross and Skyler have lived and traveled in the Middle East. They have a passionate love for this region of the world and are so excited to share this love with others!

We are very familiar with the Middle East, and we have good friends and contacts living in Egypt now. We are also taking our family to Egypt for this tour. We would not do this if we didn't firmly believe that we can all have a wonderful and safe experience together. Egypt is operating all tourist areas as normal and millions of people visit and enjoy Egypt every year.

Our Itinerary will include;

The Pyramids of Giza.
​​Visit the Pyramids of Giza - one of the Ancient Wonders of the World! This is truly a dream come true for many people.
There is nothing in the world quite like exploring the site of the ancient pyramids!! Come and ride a camel, kiss the Sphinx, haggle with the locals and walk like an Egyptian at the Pyramids of Giza!
Exploration of Cairo - one of the oldest cities in the world!
We have a wonderful friend who lives in Cairo - she knows ALL the local special places to visit, the ones that tourists don't normally see. We offer cultural exploration and unique experiences as only exist on Learning Brave tours! We always endevour to help our participants really experience the local culture and make meaningful connections to the place, people and culture they are visiting. ​​

In Cairo we plan to include;
- Hands-on cooking class and local cultural adventures.
- Coptic Cairo - the ancient Christian quarter of the city
- The Egypt museum - come and see real mummies and the Egytian treasure that was buried and hidden for centuries!
- Visit Islamic Cairo - incredible Mosques and castles.
​​- Live musical show, shopping, delicious food. and much more!
Saqqara
​Saqqara contains the oldest complete stone building complex known in history!
​
Luxor
The Valley of the Kings - The principle burial place for the Pharaohs of Egypt - Mummies, treasure and heiroglyphs!! The most famous place being the burial site of the young King Tutenkahamun.

Karnak Temple - This UNESCO World Heritage site is a vast complex of temples, pylons, chapels and monuments dating from 200BC - 30 BC. We will also attend a fabulous evening light show that teaches about the history and drama of the Karnak Complex!

Queen Hatshepsut temple - The longest reigning female Pharaoh!!

Hot Air Balloon Ride!
​
Such a magical experience! There is nothing in the world like a hot air balloon ride over the Nile and the Valley of the Kings!!

Luxor - local experiences!
​
We are also going to explore, experience and learn from locals about their customs and way of life in Luxor.

Float down the River Nile on a traditional Egyptian Felucca!!

Thanks, Gilberts. You are gregarious, open people, and people with a zest for life that is contagious. Your examples blessed me, personally, and for that, I am deeply grateful. Thanks for treating each other with love and appreciation, and showing that example of a mature marriage to all of the youth who come through your tours. I hope to send each of my children (and as many friends as I can convince) on at least one tour with you over the years! Accommodation.
We will finalize accommodation once we have firm numbers for the tour. As always, Learning Brave will supply a top level of comfortable accommodation. We will be staying in a selection of beautiful hotels or Airbnb.
Transportation.
All transportation is included in this tour, including transfers to and from the Cairo International Airport.
After registration, we will advise an optimal time for participants to arrive and depart the airport.
We are very willing to work with parents and and youth to help facilitate travel buddy groups so that whenever possible, teens can fly together and accompany each other. We also offer travel consultation in the form of personalized help to find the best possible flights available for each participant! (We are very good at this as we full-time travelled around the world for 8 years !)

* Note - The Gilbert children will be accompanying the Learning Brave Tour for some portions, they will be involved as long as they are happy and fun, once they get annoying or whiney, they will be whisked away to a hotel room or a nearby jungle...

- The Egyptian Visa must be paid by the participants at least 7 days prior via e-visa, the cost is $25 USD. This visa may require a letter for Learning Brave, this will be provided as well as an itinerary.
- Spending money for souvenirs.
